My photographic journey began when I was 13 years old and my father lent me his old Exacta SLR. After a summer school program and high school Saturday morning classes I was hooked and soon had set up my own black and white darkroom in my father's wine cellar.

The anticipation and excitement as an image came to life in the developing tray was magical. It is the only part of this "wet" process that I miss as technology has replaced this with it's own magic of instant feedback and incredible processing flexibility.

I enjoy photographing a wide range of subject matter but am particularly attracted to landscape and wildlife themes when close to home in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. I am always on the lookout for travel opportunities and have photographed many locations around the globe. On family vacations I can often be located by the vocal sounds of my wife and three children letting me know that I have worn out their patience and that it beyond time to move on!
